LOCATION
Visitors to Delphi are continually awed by the truly magnificent, unspoilt scenery of the Delphi Valley (as shown in the Movie The Field). The setting is inspirational. We chose our location very carefully so as to provide as flexible a programme as possible under varied weather conditions.
We are located in South/West Mayo (although our postal address is Leenane, Co. Galway), halfway between Louisburgh and Leenane. All around us are the mountains, beaches, sheltered inlets (we are on the shores of Killary Harbour), rivers, lakes and majestic scenery of Connemara. This lovely, remote, undiscovered corner of Western Europe boasts pollution-free (Blue Flagged) beaches with incredible surf, Connaught's highest mountain and beautiful, clean, fresh air - ideal for the outdoor enthusiast.
THE CENTRE
Purpose built, developed and refined over the years, Delphi Centre offers unequalled facilities to the visiting group. Sensitively blended in with its rugged surroundings, using natural stone and finished to a high standard, we can ensure that your stay is both comfortable and memorable.

STAFF
Our team of staff is, without doubt, one of the great strengths of Delphi. Time and time again, teachers and students show their appreciation (and admiration) for our staff. We choose our staff carefully for their suitability for working with young people and train them 'in-house', where necessary, prior to working with the children. This ensures that the consistently high standards that customers expect from Delphi can be exceeded each year.
All staff are suitably qualified and their infectious enthusiasm and personality communicates itself to our guests to create that special Delphi atmosphere that schools return for year after year.
HIGH STANDARD OF SAFETY AND INSTRUCTION
Safety is of prime importance on our holidays and we consider this to be our single most important responsibility from the moment you arrive until the time of your departure. All our courses are run to the highest safety standards and our instructors are trained to operate within strict safety guidelines. We are proud of our safety record and all staff are trained to think and act 'safety first'.

COURSES
Courses content is always a balance between learning, fun and instruction, even when running specialist programmes. While we welcome teacher input into course design, we can also recommend our own programmes, which we have refined down through the years.
Courses vary from short basic introductory courses for beginners, to more intensive, specialised courses for those wishing to improve on previously acquired skills.

WHAT TO BRING FOR ALL COURSES
- Two complete changes of warm clothing.
- Track Suit
- Indoor shoes for Gym.
- Heavy socks (2 pairs minimum).
- Old pairs of runners (for water sports).
- Waterproof jacket and trousers.
- A pair of sturdy walking boots (if possible).
- Wellies.
- Sleeping bag/bed sheet/pillow/ pillowcase.

- Swimming togs, shorts and an old sweatshirt.

N.B.
Please put nametags on all personal items.
Please do not bring very valuable items such as stereos or large amounts of money.
Please do not bring aerosols as they can be dangerous and are completely banned at our Centre. There are more environmentally friendly alternatives available.
EVENING ENTERTAINMENT
Our famous evening entertainment programme, hosted by our talented and creative staff contains just the right mix of excitement and winding-down activities up to bedtime.

Our all-inclusive price includes, as standard:
- Full board, activities and instruction.
- A fully supervised activity programme, including 24-hour supervision.

TRAVEL
Although 4 hours (approximately) from Dublin, located in the West of Ireland, we specialise in packaging a very efficient, reliable and rapid transport system. We use only the best of coaches, which quickly transfers you directly from school to Centre. Or, if you prefer, you can use the train and avail of our discounted, all-in-fare, which includes transfer by coach from Westport station to Delphi.
