Upon arrival at the centre a Delphi staff member will meet you. He/she will meet the group and outline the following points:
• Introduction of Group Leaders and Instructors
• Explanation of timetable
• Explanation of rules
We would ask that you are present at this introduction talk as we feel that it sets the tone for your stay. Upon hearing the rules the students will sign a ‘student contract’ whereby they agree to abide by all the rules explained to them. The group will then be divided into their activity groups and then divided into groups for their rooms. Your group will then start the course timetable.
NB Remember to book lunch if your group requires it on arrival
To ensure that your trip runs smoothly, we would ask you to run through the following checklist before departing for Delphi:
1. Have you paid final balances, received confirmation letter and are all details correct?
2. Have you received your final checklist and list of items to bring?
3. Have you informed us of the number of students and accompanying leaders in your group and also the male/female breakdown of both? If these numbers change in any way please contact me immediately
4. In the interest of safety and environmental protection, aerosols are banned at the centre. Persons found in possession of alcohol or illegal substances will be sent home from the centre at their own expense. If a student has to leave the centre for breeching house rules, arrangements must be made by your school/club to transport the student from the centre.
5. The centre operates a “no smoking” policy for visiting students
Please note: If your group arrive earlier than stated here, students will need to be supervised by accompanying adults until stated arrival time. Instructors will take over supervision from arrival time onwards.
